	The Columbia Gorge Lions Club invites you to the 36th Annual Sternwheeler Days Festival on June 24-26, 2011. The festival is held in the beautiful Cascade Locks Marine Park next to the Columbia River. Map > Join us for live entertainment, food and craft vendors, kid's games, BINGO, and much more old fashioned fun for the entire family. Be sure to visit the ever popular Mountain Men Rendezvous during the festival, back again on Thunder Island! This year, Sternwheeler Days will include the first annual Cascade to Crown Bicycle Ride. 	Sternwheeler Days History: Since 1975, artisans, crafters, and vendors from the Northwest and beyond have gathered for this festival to showcase their wares. This festival was first known as Portage Days. The name was later changed to Sternwheeler Days to announce the Sternwheeler “Columbia Gorge.” The Columbia Gorge Lions combined the two great events. The Sternwheeler sightseeing cruises are a wonderful way to enjoy a river view of the Marine Park, the Bridge of the Gods and the Sailing Regatta which are all a part of the history of the festival.
